The Valley Roots Food Hub is a DBA of the non-profit grassroots community organization of the San Luis Valley Local Foods Coalition. We have had assistance from the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Saguache Works, Colorado Health Foundation, and involved citizens.
Our  lines of year round business focus include: wholesale distribution, a fresh box program and subscription programs.

"We want to be the bread and butter, the center of the plate, of our local food economy, not just a sprinkling of local garnish."

We use an online ordering, marketing, and inventory management tool called Local Orbit. Providing easy ordering for customers, easy communication between the hub and its producers, and convenient ways that the end customer can learn about producers. 


The VISION of the Valley Roots Food Hub is of highly regenerative agricultural and socio-economic practices that can fulfill human needs while leaving behind a legacy of biologically productive soils, sufficient water, and healthy communities of plants, animals, and people.            

The MISSION of the Valley Roots Food Hub is to build, operate, and sustain a state food system that increases the demand for and accessibility of fresh, healthy Colorado grown food.
