Join us in Mosca at the Valley Roots Food Hub 5401 Terry St for a casual CSA BBQ potluck and open house starting at 4 pm.  This is an opportunity to learn about Valley Roots, our summer Fresh Box program, and to sign up.

SATURDAY APRIL 8, 9AM-4PM:  VISION COURSE FOR ASPIRING FARMERS & RANCHERS

Participants will undergo and in-depth exploration of their own vision and the core competencies and resources needed to launch.  This course examines current trends, resources, case studies, and stories from experienced farmers while digging into a framework to begin strategic business planning.

This is a casual opportunity for individual households to come see the food hub, learn about the CSA program (Community Supported Agriculture)  meet some producers, and break some bread together
Valley Roots will provide meat for the grill & libations, side dishes appreciated.

SUNDAY APRIL 9, 9AM-4 PM:  SCALING UP WORKSHOP FOR SLV PRODUCERS

This workshop is for beginning and existing fruit, vegetable, and field crop producers who are selling or considering selling to wholesale accounts such as food hubs, grocery chains, and institutions.  Topics will include an orientation to new federal food safety standards, elements of successful wholesale market entry, selling opportunities, and an expert producer panel.
