2020 has brought many big changes to our organization, and most of them occurred because of you! Our CSA retail customer base pivoted from 10% to 90% within weeks. We are reaching more customers, driving up more dirt roads than ever before. With these changes, we do need to account for the maintenance of our trucks and transportation costs. You will see our home delivery costs changing based on the radius of your home address from the pickup location in your town (if your town has a pickup location available). Simply search the distance of your home address from the pickup location to see what bracket of delivery you are under.
Also, we started highlighting frozen items in blue on packing slips. This is so our team doesn't forget them, but also a reminder to you to get your frozen items from the chest freezer or cooler options available at your pickup location! Frozen items include cherries, meats (including bacon), chiles.
Final note, tomorrow from 9:30 am-12 pm Local Foods, Local Places (a program of the Local Food Coalition) is inviting you to participate in a Zoom meeting to get your feedback on our local food system and how we can increase access to local products year-round. The project is for a Local Food Promotion Program USDA grant we received in partnership with the Mountain Roots Food Project in Gunnison. It is our hope that by combining our efforts and collaborating with other local food hubs and hot spots that we can increase capacity and accessibility for businesses, institutions, farmers, and families throughout the region. Email Abe at
if interested. A small stipend will be available for your time.

Safflower Oil from The Oil Barn!
Safflower oil has an oleic-acid content normally between 80% and 83%, one of the highest of all cooking oils on the market, giving it stability for high-temperature cooking. The high oleic-acid content also contributes to lowering bad (LDL) cholesterol and maintaining good (HDL) cholesterol.
In addition to being all natural, our oil also has great cooking benefits because of the varieties we use and our soil climate. Whether you are deep frying, baking, stir frying or sautéing our oil is right for you.
