According to research done by Small Farm Central, the last week of February was when most of the nation's CSA members signed up for their farm share. CSA Week was coined to assist farmers and support organizations like us to promote our sign-ups. We encourage you to purchase early as we do cap our shares. Buying now supports us, our farmers, and producers for planning purposes. Give yourself the gift of fresh local food throughout the summer season!
Challenging yourself to eat more locally this year? There is one week left to enter our Local Eating Challenge! We just need to see at least $100 of food hub goods purchased plus a photo of a locally inspired meal you've enjoyed with some of those ingredients. Chance to win a $25 giftcard! Winner will be notified March 1st.

New to CSA aka Community Supported Agriculture? Here are our top 5 reasons for committing to this journey with us this season:
1) Enjoy quality, local produce that will inspire you and your family to eat healthier.
2) Challenge yourself to think outside the box when it comes to vegetables & get adventurous in the kitchen with our weekly recipe inspiration.
3) The taste & freshness is superior, as our farmers and producers harvest Wednesdays, boxes are packed Thursdays, and they come to you Fridays!
4) Support your local food economy. For every $1 spent at a local business, $.45 is reinvested locally. For every $1 spent at a corporate chain, only $.15 is reinvested locally.
5) Our weekly newsletter highlights the who & where behind each item in your box. Get to know the faces and stories behind the food on your plate!
Shares are $450 for 13 weeks starting late June through September.

Summers House Greens are grown hydroponically in a nutrient rich, pesticide free, controlled and enclosed soilless-greenhouse. We grow in an NFT system using oasis cubes as our growing medium. Our food products are labors of love. Each item starts with a unique seed variety that is grown and saved by us. The seeds are then increased to grow production amounts of peppers, garlic and grain. These crops are harvested by us and then processed in small batches in our local cooperative community kitchen.
Potato Mushroom Egg Breakfast
5 potatoes diced into bite size pieces
1/2 Lb of mushrooms quartered
1/2 large onion -diced
2 cloves garlic minced
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup of bacon ( or sub tempeh bacon or vegetarian option)
Prep ingredients for the dish.
In a large oiled skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onions until they soften and begin to turn golden brown.
Next, add in the diced mushrooms to the skillet and cook them until they turn golden brown.
Add cubed potatoes and garlic to the skillet and season them with salt. Every few minutes, stir the ingredients so all sides of the potatoes get a nice golden crust.
Once potatoes are cooked through, add in the bacon crisps and stir to combine.
Serve warm! Great to put along side a slice of delicious grainy bread and fresh eggs prepared as you prefer (scrambled, over easy/ medium, or poached)
You may have noticed a new "Giving Box" section at the top of the market. We are excited to launch a dividened program for our Farmers, Ranchers, and Producers this year. Feeling extra generous? You can now "Tip your Farmer" in the online market. All tips will go directly into our dividend program and be distributed to our producers at year's end!
