Bread & Butter Neighborhood Market 602 S Nevada Ave
Dear local food system stakeholder,
As some of you may know, I was in a severe rock climbing accident last year. This past Wednesday I had my one-year check-up on my spine in the Springs, and things are healing as they should! I am grateful to everyone who has been there for me during this wild year of recovery. From everyone's patience and understanding when I abruptly left the Food Hub team, to my kind and generous boss for holding my job for me, to all the visits and thoughtful messages of healing, I would not be here without you! I am climbing back into my body with a heart and soul full of gratitude.
I don't get to the Front Range often, but when I do I love visiting some of our customers. I stopped by Bread & Butter Neighborhood Market, and Switchback Coffee Roasters! I had a lovely breakfast of Vegan "Tuna" salad sandwich on focaccia bread at Switchback and got some essentials at Bread & Butter. Give them a try if you are in the area!
Del Norte folks: a reminder that orders come Monday and Thursday afternoons. The order cycle says they will come Tuesdays or Fridays, but logistically, and since I live there now, it works best for us to bring orders Mondays and Thursdays. Watch out for a text message from me when I am on my way.
As always, reach out with anything!

A message from Dan Hobbs, Director, RMFU Cooperative Development Center:
On Saturday February 6, 2021 the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU) with its partners, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and the Colorado Grain Chain, will host a free public forum dedicated to farming heritage and ancient grains.
Since its founding in 1907, RMFU has been devoted to building bridges and forming cooperative enterprises, but never in our history have we seen the deep collaboration and creativity that is emerging in Colorado's new grain economy.
Join us for a dynamic journey from the centers of grain origin, to the secrets of soil and water, navigating climate change, improving our businesses, expanding our spirit of cooperation, healing our communities, and celebrating and learning from practitioners and people on the ground.
