Greetings Valley Roots CSA community,

For those of you who joined us at one of our Farm to Table dinners in Salida, Crestone, or Alamosa THANK YOU for making those special events!  There is no local food system without your support and consummation, so we all greatly appreciate your involvement!

The Valley Roots Food Hub Fresh Box is scheduled to start June 23rd!  If you haven't already, please register by June 20th at the very latest.

Returning shareholders?  Folks new to a CSA?  We invite you to all join us!

We have a lot of new producers/products this year, new hub personnel, new vision, and new capacity.  Add to that the lessons learned from the previous two seasons, and I think we are going to have a very unique, diverse, and special program. 

This year you can look forward to:

• Always FRESH produce (harvested within 24- 36 hours of delivery)
• Always SOURCE-IDENTIFIED produce (the producer's location, story, and uniqueness)
• Primarily Certified Organic or "non-certified" produce
• Colorado fruits included (cherries, peaches, apples, plus more, season dependent)
• Diversity and Balance (you won't get too much lettuce ever again!)
• "What's coming up this week" newsletters so you know what to expect in the coming box
• Fresh Box newsletters with box descriptions, recipes, and stories from the field

This year we want to make the CSA online market as convenient and as accessible as ever for a la carte ordering of meats, cheeses, eggs, dry goods, and value-added items.  We are also going to open up the CSA market for wholesale ordering of bulk cases of fruit!  And if you are needing bulk quantities of something you are not seeing in the market (beet pickling project?), just ask and we'll be happy to get a case(s) for you.
